Related issues of vehicle GPS locator

As an important part of risk control, GPS plays a vital role in reducing risks and searching for cars. In order to let everyone have a deeper understanding of the vehicle GPS locator, today Eelink Communication Technology Co., Ltd. has compiled the questions and answers about the vehicle GPS locator.

1. What does GPS positioning accuracy depend on?

The accuracy of GPS positioning mainly depends on the positioning module. In view of the deviation of the satellite's orbit and the satellite clock, and the interference of the atmospheric troposphere and ionosphere on the signal, the positioning accuracy of civil GPS is only 10 meters. In order to improve positioning accuracy, differential GPS technology is usually used, and a reference station is built to make GPS observations.

2. Can the wireless GPS be placed in the car exhaust?

Wireless GPS cannot be installed in the exhaust pipe of a car. No matter how good the GPS is, it cannot withstand high temperature and water immersion. If the GPS is placed in the position of the exhaust tube, the GPS is easily immersed in rain. Because the temperature of the exhaust duct is higher than other places, the GPS cannot tolerate it, and it is easy to break.

3. What does ACC fortify and disarm in GPS mean?

(1) ACC fortification

ACC fortification means setting up a defense alarm. Usually one-key fortification includes fence alarm, vibration alarm, oil and power failure alarm, etc. When armed, these related alarm functions will take effect. When the corresponding scene occurs, the corresponding alarm function will be activated.

(2) ACC is disarmed

ACC disarming is to revoke the vehicle's defense line through ACC. As we mentioned above, the car owner judges the ignition switch status of the vehicle through ACC detection. At the same time, as long as the GPS has a vibration alarm function and a displacement alarm function, it can be remotely controlled through ACC to set or cancel the electronic defense of the vehicle.

4. Will GPS affect car battery life?

Generally speaking, the normal installation and use of GPS will not affect the service life of the car battery. Only improper installation or improper use of GPS can quickly damage the car battery. When the vehicle stops, the device enters the standby state and only sends a data after a long time to ensure that the GPS is online. This kind of deep standby state consumes less power than the self-discharge of the car battery, which is completely negligible, so it has no effect on the car battery.
